Yeast Bio-Products R&D Director, Netherlands

This high level position has been created to provide innovation leadership to
increase the speed and creativity of scientific product and process development
across the biotechnology related areas of our client.
The person must have a long-term vision for the business and expert knowledge in
yeast fermentation, combined with a solid understanding of enzymology,
microbiology, and cereal chemistry.
The company is one of the world's leading food ingredients companies,
headquartered in Europe.
Ph D level in microbiology, enzymology, biochemistry or fermentation technology
is essential.
Also essential:
(a) expertise in yeast strain isolation and fermentation
(b) good understanding of the application of enzymes in the food industry
(c) experience of management of a significant R&D department
(d) good understanding of biochemical metabolism
(e) a track record of innovation in a related industry.
(f) knowledge and experience of working with food micro-organisms, enzyme and
metabolite expression, and genetics
(g) international experience of working with external institutes & universities
(h) minimum of 15 years in a similar position
(i) fluency in English.
